This is from a few weeks ago, Braydon had a science project to do. He had to make a solar system. And here's the kicker, he only gave us one evenings notice. So this is what we came up with. Our homemade solar system is a cardboard box painted black inside and the planets are 2 cardboard circles that fit together to make it dimensional. And they are just colored and hanging from yarn and paper clips (the only yarn we had was white so we actually painted the yarn black to blend in). We cut a bunch of little stars from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge and the astronaut, spaceship, alien, and UFO are all from Everyday Paper Dolls. It's days like these, we are SO glad to have had the cricut! Oh and the sun is just one of those squishy toy balls. Haha.
Hi, I'm Shelly. I am a stay at home mom of two of the best kids in the world (I might be a little biased ;)!). I am a "do it yourself" kind of person. If there is something that can be done myself without spending a lot of money, I will TRY it! Cause, let's face it...it's just funner.
I created this blog to archive the things that I attempt to make. It's a compliation of ideas that I have found or come up with for anything from home decor to gifts to school projects that (to me) are sometimes hard to find.
